Advocating on Behalf of All Girls

Girls Inc. supports providing girls with accurate, age-appropriate health information

Girls Inc. advocates for policies and practices that advance the rights and opportunities of girls and young women. We work to ensure girls have the skills, knowledge, and support to make decisions to help them lead fulfilling, supportive, and healthy lives. Their bodily autonomy is critical to their dignity as human beings and their right to be safe in the world.

To that end, Girls Inc. believes health education and access to supportive services play a vital role in helping girls make choices that shape their lives and futures.

Powerful Advocacy

We translate our work with girls into informed action by promoting programs, practices, and resources that help them lead healthy, educated, and independent lives.

At the national level, we highlight the importance of access to supportive services and education that help girls overcome barriers and pursue their full potential.

Our work is shaped by the realities faced by many girls, particularly those with limited access to resources or who experience challenges related to their backgrounds, identities, or life circumstances.

Combat Bullying, Harassment, & Sexual Violence

1 in 4 girls experiences sexual abuse or assault by age 18.

Girls Inc. is committed to helping girls navigate challenges such as bullying, harassment, and unsafe environments by providing education, mentoring, and resources that promote emotional safety and resilience.
Through age-appropriate programming and trained adult mentors, we equip girls with the skills to build healthy relationships, advocate for themselves, and seek help when needed.

We partner with schools and communities to support positive learning environments where all girls feel safe, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Support Girls’ Mental Health

Girls Inc. is dedicated to creating environments where girls feel heard, supported, and valued.

Through mentoring relationships and programs that focus on building confidence, managing emotions, and developing healthy coping strategies, we help girls strengthen their emotional well-being and resilience.

Our approach prioritizes positive connections, self-expression, and access to trusted adults who offer support and guidance during times of stress or uncertainty.
